For all you astronomical nerdbergers out there (and those who just want something cool to look at and ponder), you should check out the sky to the east on Sunday. Our neighbourly red planet will be 69.4 million kilometres from Earth, which is slightly further than Amaroo during peak hour, and it won’t be this close again until 2018.
If the weather is consistent and we don’t see zippedy of the sky on Sunday, don’t stress, as it’ll still be pretty close and chunky for most of November.
Just remember, the chances of anything coming from Mars is a million to one… they said…
