Mars Attacks

For all you astro­nom­i­cal nerd­berg­ers out there (and those who just want some­thing cool to look at and pon­der), you should check out the sky to the east on Sun­day. Our neigh­bourly red plan­et will be 69.4 mil­lion kilo­me­tres from Earth, which is slight­ly fur­ther than Ama­roo dur­ing peak hour, and it won’t be this close again until 2018.

If the weath­er is con­sis­tent and we don’t see zippedy of the sky on Sun­day, don’t stress, as it’ll still be pret­ty close and chunky for most of Novem­ber.
