Australian Federal Election 2007.
If I can say this in the most apolitical way possible:
Isn’t it bizarre to see those who have been in power for so long, saying “so
long”, looking sad, broken and powerless, having the rug pulled and possibly never to be heard of again?
Sure many of them will either have fantastic pensions or offered multiple executive board jobs, but they no longer have that influence that we have all grown accustomed to. Those who once held all the cards, now have none at all… In fact, they aren’t even allowed in the casino.
For this recent massive election, the saying “Oh, how the mighty have fallen” just does not do justice (or simian).
